Sarah Reeves would have been great grandmother to Emma Emily Moore. Sarah died in Amwell End in Ware in her 80s in October 1865, the same month that Emma Emily was born. In the 1861 census Sarah appears to be living in Church St, Ware, supported by parish relief.

Sarah was baptised 6 December 1778 at Stanstead Abbots, Herts, the second of six children of William Reeves and Sarah Finch.

William and Sarah were both baptised in Hunsden (1751 and 1750 respectively). They married at St Andrews, Stanstead Abbot in 1772

William was son of Jonas Reeves (baptised Thundridge 1720) and Elizabeth Kingham (baptised 1716 Standon) who married in 1747 at Holy Trinity Bengeo.

Jonas was son of Jonas and Ann Reeves (both born around 1695)

James's parents were John Finch and Elizabeth How, who married at St Mary, Standon on 31 May 1705.
