Emma Emily Moore was the daughter of James Moore
and Julia Fox. Julia was born in 1839 in Heytesbury, Wiltshire
and may have come to Tottenham after the birth of her illegitimate
son Henry in 1860. Henry was brought up by his grandparents John
and Jane Willis in Wiltshire, but by 1881 he was living with his
mother Julia and her family in Tottenham.
James and Julia married in January 1865 in West Hackney and Emma
was the first of their seven children.

Emma was born at High Cross Lane, Tottenham on 25 October
1865 and baptised at Holy Trinity church, Tottenham on Christmas
Eve 1865.
She married Samuel Baker on 3 September
1887 at St Francis de Sales, High Rd, Tottenham. They had twelve
children.

Emma's father James Moore was born at the Hale, Tottenham on 3
June 1843, the second of seven children to James Moore (1812-1886)
and Eliza Campkin (1814-1892). James was baptised at All
Hallows, Tottenham on 3 September 1843.
James was son of William Jeremiah Moore (1774-1842) and
Sarah (born 1788 Standon, Herts)
William Jeremiah was second son of William Moore (1750-1819)
and Sarah Venables (1748-1822)
All these Moores were born and buried in Tottenham.

Eliza Campkin was daughter of Michael Campkin (1775-1855)
and Sarah Reeves (1778-1865). Eliza was baptised at Ware
parish church - St Mary the Virgin on 15 July 1814, the eighth of
twelve children.
Eliza's father Michael was eldest of five children to Michael
Campkin (1753-1797) and Elizabeth Andrews who was baptised
at St Mary's on 8 March 1748.
